Kaptai Lake – Bangladesh’s Largest Man-made Lake

 

Location: Rangamati, Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bangladesh

History: Created in 1960 for hydroelectric purposes, Kaptai Lake offers boat rides, scenic views, and access to tribal villages. It’s central to tourism in the hill districts.
